School hours: Saturday June 14, 2008: Self Training from 12pm - 1:45pm, We will still have the 1:45 Sparring Class
Carpet moving: The tournament organizers have asked us to use our Wushu ring carpets. We will need assistance in moving the rolls of carpet onto a Uhaul truck. The moving times will be Thursday June 12 8pm and Monday June 16 6pm. Please come if you are available at these times. The more people we have the easier the move will be.

I am sure that by now all of you have heard of the horrific earthquake
that has devastated parts of China. We would like to hold some
fundraisers so that we can make a donation to the victims. The first
of these fundraisers will be a Goh's Kung Fu Kick-A-Thon. This event
will take place on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 1pm. Advanced weapons
class will be canceled that day. For this kick-a-thon we ask everyone
to participate by asking friends and family to become sponsors.
Sponsorships can be as a flat amount or on a per kick basic. On this
kick-a-thon we will do a total of 200 kicks. These kicks will be a
mixture of kicks, jump kicks, acrobatic movements, jump kicks over
pads, etc so we'll work hard but it'll also be fun doing it. Don't be
afraid of doing movements that you don't know yet, we'll teach them to
you.
I have placed a form on our website for you to keep track of your
sponsors on our website. It can be downloaded here.
This fundraiser is part of a nationwide initiative started by the USAWKF (the Organization that our Sifu started and is the President). More info can be found at the USAWKF website.
What I love most about our school is the great community we have in
the students. Let's extend that warmth and friendship to these people
who really need it by raising as much money as we can.
